Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Fresh raspberry on the nose with a hint of mint. Bright and ample fruit on the palate. Lovely and smooth with a long finish. Good value. Enjoy with spicy sausage, pasta or pizza. Tasted February 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
From the Tuscany wine region, Scaranto 2017 is rich and full-bodied red wine blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Merlot with liquid cherry, dark plum, blueberry vanilla, minty and spicy on the palate. Pair with grilled sausages. Produced in the “Tuscan Governo” method begins, slowly re-fermenting the wine with Sangiovese grapes that were dried at controlled humidity and temperature, then aged in oak barrels for about six months and bottle-aged for three months prior to its release. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
