This zesty Italian white wine is fresh, clean and crisp with white peach notes. Medium-bodied with lime lift on the finish. Great aperitif. Try this medium-bodied white wine with balsamic grilled radicchio, basil pesto or zucchini and red onion frittata.

Pinot Grigio food pairings: pasta in a garlic sauce, avocado and papaya salad, vegetable tempura.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From Italy's Alto Adige region, a Pinot Grigio with crisp white florals, apple and pear aromas, repeated on a satiny, med-bodied palate with elegant finish.
Tasted Nov. 2016
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Light bodied, crisp and clean with mild floral, citrus and mineral notes sums it all up. The palate shows an attractive smooth buttery mouthfeel with lasting steely mineral and citrus notes. Pair with bacon wrapped goat cheese. Tasted Dec 2016 - @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Santa Margherita consistently puts out a fresh and zesty Pinot Grigio. The 2015 vintage is more of the same. Grapes for Santa Margherita's Impronta Del Fondatore (2015) were sourced from the Alto Adige in Northern Italy and wine juice was racked into stainless steel tanks, fermented for 8-10 days where the wine remained on its lees for several weeks to obtain structure and complexity prior to bottling. The Impronta Del Fondatore is Santa Margherita's flagship wine. - Community Wine Reviews
