A terrific, fresh unoaked (thus liberated from oak) white wine from Prince Edward County made from the classic Chardonnay grape. Aromas of golden apple and fresh pear. Match with roast chicken.

Chardonnay food pairings: tuna or salmon sashimi and wasabi mayo or with shrimp pancakes with watercress, snow pea and poached pear salad.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Zippy, refreshing and tangy. Great value and accessibly priced PEC unoaked Chardonnay weighing in at 13.5% ABV. Big acidity, medium fruit, medium alcohol. Balanced and medium bodied. A great crowd pleasing option for sipping, and food pairing. Versatile with pairing options, goes well with shell fish. Tasted 2016 July 2017. 90 points.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Bring on the sunshine cause we've got a juicy, easy drinking patio pleaser right here. Flavours show juicy mouthwatering citrus and orchard fruit notes. Enjoy this light-bodied minimalist Chardonnay with Caprese salad. Tasted July 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
