This is a lovely, elegant French Pinot Noir from the Sancerre region of France where you usually have Cabernet Franc as the base red grape. Mouth-watering acidity and juicy dark cherry aromas and flavours. This is perfect for roast chicken or turkey.

Sancerre food pairings: veal stew, pork tenderloin, mushroom and truffle dishes, coq au vin.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This is my kind of wine! Made from PN grapes, with fragrant cherry, earth, slight baking spice and vanilla aromatics, followed by a palate that gives delicious bright cherry, vanilla, allspice, pepper and earth, in a mouth-watering silky mouthfeel and long elegant finish. Very appetizing and very hard to put down.
Tasted Sept 2016
The Raimbault family has been n Sancerre for 350 years. The own 17 hectares of vines in the commune of Verdigny. This lovely Loire red from Sancerre is an elegant French Pinot Noir. The wine shows a mouth-watering acidity on the palate with juicy, dark cherry aromas and flavours. A perfect match for roast chicken or turkey. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
