Rodney Strong Reserve 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is a 100% Cab Sauv. with cassis, ripe blackberry, dark plum, red berry, savoury herbs and cedar spice flavours elegant and long on the palate. Very nice now, and will easily cellar for another eight years.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: lamb Bolognese, Asian chicken salad, pork tenderloin, barbecued steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Rich and flavourful. Aromas of blackberry and currant, and a touch of cranberry, along with notes of cedar, warm spice and leather. Full bodied, smooth on the palate, with bright acidity, soft, dusty tannins, and rich, velvety dark berry notes, and warm spicy and smoky hints on a lengthy finish. Enjoy with prime rib.
