Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Nuances is a sultry 58% Cabernet Franc, 25% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon red wine blend with nuances of smoke, raspberry compote, cedar brush, dried sweet tobacco leaf and a whiff of iodine on the nose. Dry, medium-plus-bodied with ripe blackberry, plum, dark raspberry, cold green tea, cinnamon and pepper spice flavours, harmonious and caressing the mid-palate with velvety tannins.

The Merlot grapes for this wine were sourced from the Kozier Organic Vineyard high on the Naramata Bench “were picked at optimal ripeness" and round out the Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon sourced near Tuc-el-nuit Lake in the Okanagan. The wine was aged 12 months in 10% new French oak barrels, so decant for 45 minutes prior to pouring with a venison filet mignon to experience all the nuances on this well-crafted Bordeaux-style red blend.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
