From Tenuta le Maciè comes a 100% Sangiovese that has shed its past IGT blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon for a more balanced, refined expression. Located on a north-facing vineyard with Alberese calcari soil and schist-flakey Galestro, the grapes are harvested in October—allowing the fruit to catch up to its naturally high acidity. With no new oak used, the wine stands elegant and sleek, promising mid-term aging potential. This Italian red is savoury, meaty, and balanced, revealing delightful aromas and flavours of cedar brush, tart black cherry, and woodland. Drink now or cellar to 2028, and try it alongside a hearty beef stew with root vegetables.

Chianti Classico food pairings: hearty beef stew with root vegetables.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
