A complex and balanced Californian red with classic aromas fleshy dark fruit and spices. Wonderfully structured: perfect for diner parties involving steak. This robust wine is a blend of Zinfandel, Carignan, Petite Sirah, Grenache and Mataro (aka Mourvèdre). The 2012 vintage of Ridge's Three Valleys is richly concentrated and complex. Polished tannins with a judicious use of oak. Pair with grilled meats.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A Sonoma Valley Zinfandel blend with a fragrant nose of dark red berries and spice. An earthy palate with spicy red fruit. Long peppery red fruit finish.
The 2012 vintage of the Proprietary Red Three Valleys is a Californian red wine blend of 82% Zinfandel, 12% Petite Sirah and the remainder Carignan and Alicante Bouchet grapes. Lots of dark fruit and black spices. - Community Wine Reviews
