A grape liqueur from Reif winery that's best served on the rocks on its own or mix with three parts white wine, as the winery suggests. Also lovely as a spritzer with soda or sparkling water.

Food pairings: cherry macaroons, raspberry torte dipped in dark chocolate, dark chocolate studded with red and blueberry fruit.

Reviews and Ratings

Sharon Aubie rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This is a premium grape liqueur, which I thought I'd try at the end of our tasting afternoon.

It was fruity and spicy on the nose with aromas of clove and grape.

I followed the suggestion of mixing with white wine and sparking water to make a spritizer, which was okay, but I think I would pour this over vanilla bean ice cream.

From Reif Estates a dessert wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon wine grapes and fortified with brandy with liquid raspberry and cherry compote flavours on the palate. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
