A gorgeous cool-climate Cabernet from Niagara. This wine underwent a long barrel fermentation of about 2 weeks on the skins. This Reserve Cab was then aged 18 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels. Aromas of fleshy ripe blackberry, dark spice, leather and smoke. Smooth and supple. Perfect for a juicy steak.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled burgers, Margherita pizza, hamburger.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pleasantly plummy! Deep ruby coloured with a fresh bouquet of a blend of red, dark and dried fruits. Dark plums, blackcurrants, stewed strawberries with a hint of raspberry jelly and chocolate. Flavours show blueberry compote, cherries, metallic touches (copper pennies!) and roasted blackened red peppers. Chewy velvety tannins with an elegant grip revealing a lingering full body. This paired awesomely with bone-in rib steaks. 88 points - tasted August 2018
