Natalie's Score: 91/100

A savoury, delicious, robust Italian red wine from the Campania region and made from the Aglianico grape, often referred to as the Barolo of the south. Aromas of dark fruit, smoke and wild violets. This could use more cellar time, but decant 2 hours and you're good to go. Pair with a rare steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Ruby red. Deeply concentrated, medium plus bodied, smooth fine tannins, food friendly acidity, fine graphite minerality. Bursting with red and black fruit, hint of leather, great mentor Audi, savory. Pairs well with braised beef and roasted vegetables. Tasted the 2012 vintage after two hour decant in August 2018. Great value. 91 points
