Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Robust aromas of black plum, cherry, mocha and spice. Full bodied, Smooth with some medium, grippy tannins, ripe dark fruit, and a mocha, spicy finish. Enjoy with grilled sausages or burgers.
Excellent value under $13 on this Prova Cega 2017 produced from 50% Touriga Nacional with equal parts Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. A smoky, sultry red from the Douro wine region with lots of ripe dark cherry, dark fruit compote, anise and dried herb flavours velvety on the palate. Pair with a meaty, saucy venison stew. - Community Wine Reviews
