Reviews and Ratings

Julian Park rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

The grapes were harvested by hand from BC vineyards in Lake Country, Naramata and the Rise Vineyard. The wine is patiently aged for 18 months in French oak before resting an additional year in the bottle.

13.7% Alcohol. You can tell by the quality of the cork that John Woodward takes great pride in this wine. The young dark ruby wine improves with aeration. The wine is still tight and if you have the time I would suggest leaving several hours before drinking. On the nose, the pinot is a symphony of black cherry and ripe raspberries on a background of toasty oak and a hint of earthiness and baking spice. A soft, silky mouthfeel complements the layers of lasting black and red fruit flavours. Enjoy the wine now or age for up to seven years.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
