Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Delicate nose gives croissant and slight citrus. Dry and lively palate with crisp citrus and white fruit notes and fine mousse. Great for special occasions.

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Bursting with citrus freshness and acidity, this bubbly offers notes of lime, lemon, apricots, and yellow apples on the nose. On the palate, it’s citrus in front, then the flavour develops pleasant and delicate yeast, fresh baked bread, butter, apricot, and pear notes. The sharp acidity is evident on the finish as well; it’s this present acidity that allows this wine to age so gracefully. With age, the grape and acidity will recede, while the yeast, butter, and breadiness come forward; time also adds body and roundness. I'd suggest letting it age for another year or two to develop even more balance and complexity. It’s a bottle worth its high price tag. It is, after all, a vintage Champagne.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
