Poças Junior Vintage 2017 Port is just the right size (375 ml) to share with a duck pistachio nut paté, blue cheeses or some dark chocolate. This vintage port is a blend of 40% Touriga Nacional, 25% Touriga Franca, 20% Tinta Roriz and 15% Cão from old vines and is aged for one-half year in wood and 16 months in stainless steel tanks. Sweet and lush on the palate with ripe dark cherry, toffee, dried fruit, chocolate and balanced acidity. Approachable now, but would benefit from a few more years in cellar to begin to show its best, and could easily cellar for 20 more years. Try in 2026.

Jay Denney rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

First time trying this Port producer and it was a great first impression. Very dark inky purple in colour. First sip was like the best dark chocolate covered berry ever, then with a little bit of air time in the glass, more complex notes of burnt toffee and and mocha emerged.
