Attractive toasty oak and black fruit on this robust Australian red wine from one of the country's most respected producers. Finishes with dark spice and a lick of black pepper. Yes please: top me up! Pair with meat lovers' pizza (and meat lovers).

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby colour with an earthy quality in this adventurous blend of Shiraz, Tempranillo, Mourvedre and Grenache. Youthful and a little medicinal but some oaking qualities of vanilla, toast, sweet spices with a cherry and black fruit backbone shine through. A decent length on a peppery finish. Solid price performer at $18. Enjoy with a meaty lasagne, bison burger or beef burger.
Tasted: January 2016
The Shiraz in this Australian blend adds fruit and structure, Tempranillo adds firm, savoury character and Mourvèdre those chary blackened fruit notes. Black raspberry and vanilla smoke on the finish. - Community Wine Reviews
