Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The Aves del Sur Reserva 2017 is a delicate wine harvested by Vina del Pedregal, in the Valle del Claro. Made from Carmenere, the wine offers aromas of blackberry, plum, green bell pepper, slate, sweet tobacco and sandalwood. Its lovely acidity, supple tannins and a coating finish make this wine perfect for any occasion and food pairing. Palate: cherry, plum, green peppercorn, leather, vanilla and tobacco. Enjoy.
From the Loncomilla Valley, Pedregal Aves Del Sur 2017 Carmenère is great value under $20. Fragrant with violet, red berry, blueberry and cold tea aromas on the nose. Medium-bodied with lots of bright berry, cold tea and savoury herb flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm and chewy. Decant for one hour and enjoy with bison burgers and ribs from the grill. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
