Natalie's Score: 92/100

Mocha rich on the nose with aromas of fleshy blackberries and plums and chocolate. Round and layered with lots of length on the finish. This full-bodied red wine is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon but also includes a splash of Cabernet Franc grapes in the blend. Decant 1-2 hours. This would be a terrific dinner party wine or gift wine. Give it to yourself! OTHER: The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is gorgeous. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, and leather are all front and center in this lush, voluptuous Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink it over the next decade. Drinking window: 2020-2035. Score - 92 (Antonio Galloni, vinous.com, Jan. 2018).

Reviews and Ratings

Simon Chen rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

California wine fair @ Ottawa - tasted side by side to their 2015 Crossbarn Cabernet and I have to say I like the Crossbarn much better at this moment. The Paul Hobbs Cab is big and bold and the fruits just carry all the way till the end and you don't really get any other complexity. It's a wine that will be better in 10+ years to let the fruits fade away to reveal its true beauty.
