Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Patrick Lesec founded his negociant company in 1993. Their first vintage was released two years later. He has had long term contracts to buy grapes from various growers and producers from some of the best vines growing in some of the best terroir in the Chateauneuf du Pape appellation. A blend of mostly Grenache with some added Syrah and Mourvedre. Lots of ripe red fruit adorn the aromas and flavors of this seductive red wine laced with delicate oak spice, leather, pepper, licorice, forest floor - velvety tannins, solid structure, superbly balanced. Tasted November 2017.
Patrick Lesec Galets Blonds (2015) is a full-bodied Châteauneuf-Du-Pape, made by master blender, Patrick Lesec. Look for lots of ripe, red fruit, garrigues herbs, cedar and incense spice. Decant two hours prior to serving with roast beef, or cellar for 10 years. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
