Great value on this smoky, ripe red and dark berry fruit red Pata Negra Reserva from the Rioja wine region produced from 100% Tempranillo. Smooth, well-crafted and easy to enjoy finishing with a mouthful of ripe berry and dark fruit.

Food pairings: pork roast with cranberry and cherry stuffing, pork roasted vegetables and cider stew, pork loin with prunes and sherry.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pata Negra Reserva 2014, a joyful Tempranillo from the Rioja region of Spain, reveals aromas of dried blackberry, raisin, dried rose, pastrami, cocoa and cedar. Medium-bodied with an agreable finish, the Pata Negra shows lovely acidity and complexity. Palate, dried blackberry, fig, black pepper, smoke and cedar. Enjoy.
Pata Negra 2014 is produced by Marqués de Carrion and is savoury, smoky 100% Tempranillo. Look for ripe strawberry, red plum, blackberry fruit and sweet cake spice flavours on this juicy, modern-style red wine from the Rioja. - Community Wine Reviews
