Reviews and Ratings

Beverly Crandon rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

On colour, you’ll note a dark ruby red hue that actually borders on garnet. On the nose, there are definite wisps of plum, spice and some smokiness. On the palate, [sigh] it is smoothly received. You’ll note tastes of plum, cherry, light herbaceousness, and refined tannins, all brought to you with a medium to long finish.
This is consistently a top-quality Dolcetto and the 2010 is particularly brilliant. Dark ruby in colour, it’s bursting with purple berry fruit, plum, spice and mineral aromas. Weightier than most Dolcettos, it’s dry, plush and packed with concentrated berry-fruit flavours and hints of spice. The balanced acidity is well integrated on this long-finishing wine. A real pleasure. Source: Vintages Wine Panel

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
