Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A burst of aromatics from this fashionable grape, filling your glass with nectarine and beeswax. This is a limited release from this innovative winery using only the free run juice (ie not pressing the grapes, just using the liquid that runs naturally), and using grapes from their oldest vineyards. The wine spends 6 months on the lees to add depth and complexity. I love the salinity of this wine, you can taste the ocean next to where the grapes are grown. I suggest popping an octopus on the barbecue and serving it with fresh lemon, olive oil and chilli
Paco & Lola Prime 2016 is an Albariño from the Rías Baixas wine region, made from free-run wine -- that is to say, the wine grapes have not been pressed by have left to juice themselves under the weight of the grapes giving the wine, fresh, juicy and delicate flavours. In this case, ripe melon, soft orange, lemon zest and a tangy mineral finish. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
