Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Big and juicy, similar to the 2013 vintage. Deep inky garnet colour with big pronounced aromas of stewed strawberries, blueberries, dark plums and dried fruits - dates and figs primarily. Hints of dark chocolate and tobacco tucked away in there too. Flavours bring sour cherries m, woody blackberries with salty wet stones carrying into the medium finish. Medium plus acidity, body with lingering yet gorgeously refined medium tannins hanging in there adding some oomph. Salty finish. Needs big meat to dance with! Calling for prime rib or T-bone steaks. 92 points - tasted April 2018
Osoyoos Larose Le Grand Vin 2014 is worth every penny. This is a spectacular Bordeaux-style blend of 58% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot. In fact, the rootstock and clone variations were selected in Bordeaux, brought to BC and planted by hand. Of course, the blend was aged in French oak barrel for over a year and a half in new and one-year-old barrels. The flavours are equally fresh and fruity. Look for Blueberry, cherry, blackberries, with well integrated oak in this vintage. Pair with roast duck. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
