Vintages Wine Panel: The 2008 has not yet been reviewed, however, expect excellence. Impactful, elegant Bordeaux-blend wine with aromas of Ribena juice, cedar, chocolate, Christmas cake, plum and creamy vanilla. Dry, extracted with a blast of fruit followed immediately by firm, age-worthy tannins. Medium-full bodied with a long fruit/cedar/tannin finish. This wine will be even better in 5+ years, and will last 15 or more beyond that. My note: Ka-pow! Jumps out of the glass and pulls you back in head first. This wine floods the senses with black fruit, tar, dark spices and smoke. Can you see yourself negotiating in a smoky room with someone who wants a much higher rate of interest than you expected. Have another sip.

Reviews and Ratings

Philippe Perreault, Sommelier rated this wine as 82/100 with the following review:

This wine is a blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon completed by 27% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot!

Deep purple color with aromas of cedar, bleuberry, oak and spice!

The wine is harsh, full-bodied and very long on the palate!

Pair it with a cassoulet with pork and duck!

Serveit at 15-17 degrees!

Can be aged at less 8-10 years!

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
