Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Rollingdale Winery is a family-owned farmgate “BC certified organic” winery located in West Kelowna. “La Gauche” 2016 is produced with mostly Cabernet Sauvignon wine grapes with Cabernet Franc, Malbec playing supporting roles, filling out the wine and smoothing out the edges. This Bordeaux blend refers to its style fashioned after Cabernet Sauvignon blends from the Left Bank of the Gironde River in Bordeaux. Deep ruby in the glass, La Gauche is light on the nose with ripe red cherries, cedar spice and underbrush. On the palate, it is smooth, dry, with well-integrated, fine-grained tannins and a comfortable mid-palate of sour cherry, blackberry, black currant, dark chocolate and a smattering of savoury herbs. Very easy to drink, unpretentious and with good acidity, pair this elegant red with a grilled petit tendre (bistro filet) done rare, garnished with fresh grape tomatoes and Yukon gold fries.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
