Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

I love sparkling wines. Whether it's champagne, prosecco, cava or other sparkling wines made from grapes, there is so much lovely bubble out there to try.

However, I decided to try something different -- a sparkling fruit wine. In addition to expanding my palate, I've also had several people enquire about sparkling fruit wines and ciders, because not everyone enjoys wine made from grapes.

Northern Lights Estate Winery in Prince George makes fruit wine and they also make a fresh and zesty frizzante, from orchard and berry fruit from Northern B.C. Borreal Frizzante is a juicy and fresh, off-dry blend of apple, raspberry, blueberry and Saskatoon berry from there. It's like a tiny bubble explosion of ripe berries on the palate with just enough fresh acidity to balance the sweetness. Delicious chilled and on its own, but particularly good with roast turkey. Tasted June 2020.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
