Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This dark ruby red Rioja was vinified with 100% Tempranillo from the Rioja Alavesa sub region. Fermented in French oak. Complex aromatics and fantastic on the palate. The 2005 vintage is considered exceptional in Rioja and this wine is tasting well when tasted at Vancouver wine festival Feb 2018. Aged 3 years in bottle and 30 months in cask. Tasting strawberry, savoury, baking spices. Fine tannins integrating well. Well balanced. 92 points
From Rioja, Muriel Gran Reserva (2005) is made from 100% Tempranillo, the grape of Rioja. Muriel Winery was established in 1982. - Community Wine Review

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
