Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A South Australia Cab showing ripe dark berries, vanilla, mocha and herbal notes with a delicious satiny palate and elegant finish.
Tasted June 2018
Wineboy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A Coonawarra CS that shows the minty notes that one used to see more frequently. Along with mint, cassis flavours, in a powerful style with the presence of sufficient crispness to make it food-worthy without loosing it's Australian balance.
Mr. Riggs Outpost 2016 is rich and balanced, dry Cabernet Sauvignon from the red soils of the Coonawarra wine region. Floral and spicy with a minty nose, on the palate rich flavours of blackberry, raspberry, dark chocolate, eucalyptus and other savoury herbs linger. This vintage was awarded Silver at the 2017 International Wine & Spirit Competition. - Community Wine Reviews
