Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

An expressive Merlot-dominant blend with 8% Cabernet Sauvignon nd 7% Cabernet Franc providing additional aromatic and textural complexity to this storied and value-priced Bordeaux red. The nose shows savoury red and dark fruits, along with herbs, underbrush, and cured meat. Enjoy with grilled rack of lamb, rib steak, and firm aged cheese. Tasted October 2020. 89+ points. Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Mouton Cadet Heritage 2017 exposes fruit quality and drinkability. Blended from 85% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Cabernet Franc, the wine offers aromas of black plum, dark cherry, bay leaf, leather, spice and cedar. Medium body with a beautiful balance, the wine is perfect for any food pairing. Palate: plum, cherry, black pepper, baking spice, cocoa and cedar. Enjoy!
Produced by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Mouton Cadet 2017 is a rich blend of Merlot with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Very drinkable now. Look for ripe blackberry, dark cherry and savoury herb flavours on the palate. Tannins are structured. - Community Wine Reviews
