Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Morandé Gran Reserva, from Maipo Valley, is a good example of what a Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon is all about. This 2014 vintage offers rich aromas of ripe dark plum, cherry, hot pepper, black tea, salted caramel, vanilla and oak. This hand-picked wine shows a full body with lovely acidity and a medium to long finish. This Cabernet Sauvignon exhumes the warm sun of Chile at the first sip. Plum, fern, tea, dark chocolate, pepper and oak mingle in your palate. Enjoy this Andes red with sausage!
Morandé Gran Reserva 2014 is a 100% medium-bodied Carmenère with wine grapes sourced from a single vineyard in the Maipo Valley. Carmenère is a late-ripening variety and needs high levels of sunshine and warmth to achieve full ripeness. This Gran Reserva is lightly herbaceous with cedar spice flavours on the palate. Pair with red-wine braised lamb shanks. - Community Wine Reviews
