Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lip-smacking and extremely drinkable! This comes from the cooler climes of the Leyda region of Chile; south of Casablanca, but pretty close to the coast where it is cool. The moderate climate produces even headed, ripe, and aromatic Sauvignon Blancs like this one from the famous producer, Montes.
It has a nice medium lemony-green colour. Nucleation sites on the glass show dissolved CO2 clinging to the edge of the glass. This means it was fermented at cool temperatures in anaerobic silence to preserve the wines flavour until the moment you open it - very fresh and fruity.
The aromas have a ton of chlorophyl, lemon juice, cornflower, pineapple, and guava.
Tropical fruit dominate the palate too. Pineapple, guava, and assorted citrus, with a lemon peel note.
Great wine for a summer salad woth feta cheese and snap peas. Chilean Sauvignon Blanc always sings with edamame too.
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Fragrant, zesty and enjoyable. Notes of fresh cut grass, canned green beans and citrus. Pair with pub favourite - fish ‘n chips!Tasted Feb 2018
This Chilean Sauvignon Blanc offers great quality and taste for the price. Montes is always experimenting and leading with innovation. The grapes grow in the cool climate Chilean wine region of Leyda. - Community Wine Reviews
