Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Elegant and approachable, the Monteabellon 2018, from Ribera del Duero in Spain, reveals aromas of sour cherry, sugarplum, mustard seed, volcanic rock, cigar box and oak. Made from Tempranillo, this Spaniard delivers a warm finish, silky tannins and a clear acidity. Palate: tart cherry, dried blackberry, black pepper, pastrami, cocoa and oak. Enjoy.
Monteabellón 5 Meses En Barrica 2018 is a medium-plus-bodied 100% Tempranillo with ripe red berry, raspberry, plum and garrigue herb flavours smooth and silky on the palate. True to its name, the wine was aged five months in oak barrels. Founded in 2000, Monteabellón is owned and operated by the García family. Enjoy now with lamburgers. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
