Mission Hill Reserve 2022 Pinot Gris is dry, medium-bodied and fresh. Grapes for this vintage were sourced from Oliver, Black Sage and Naramata Ranch in the Okanagan Valley wine region in British Columbia. Each vineyard has a unique microclimate with the resulting wine fresh and fragrant with cantaloupe, almond, lemongrass and stony mineral flavours fresh on the palate. Enjoy it with veggie and chicken kebabs from the grill.

Pinot Gris food pairings: grilled lemon-rosemary chicken, grilled pork tenderloin, veggie burgers, Feta cheese stuffed turkey burger, roast lemon and rosemary rubbed chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Although spring arrived late in 2022, the harvest year became one of the hottest summer and longest autumn season on record. Mission Hill Family Estate Reserve 2022 Pinot Gris shows this warm vintage with rich, ripe fruit flavours of yellow peach, yellow apple, pear compote and bright Meyer lemon citrus fresh, mouth filling and weighty on the palate.

Grapes for the 2022 Reserve Pinot Gris were sourced from three vineyards: (71%) Black Sage Road, (18%) from the Naramata Bench, with the balance (11%) from the Oliver Vineyard. The wine was matured in French oak barrels, puncheons and foudre. Tasted April 2023.
Susan Briggs reviewed this wine as follows:

Light-bodied white wines like Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc are best consumed within a year or two.
