Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Tart, ripe berry, spice and a lovely hint of dried herbs on the bouquet. The flavors are refined and elegant - coffee, blackberry, raspberry, cherry, licorice and silky tannins lead the way to a pleasant dark fruit finish.
From the Piedmont wine region, Michele Chiarlo Tortoniano (2012) is a well-priced Barolo made from 100% Nebbiolo wine grapes. The wine has so much to offer now with ripe berry fruit, earthy blue flowers, licorice spice and coffee notes, but has lots of room to further develop. Decant for two hours prior to serving or cellar for another five years to tame some of those tannins. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
