This wine has come into its own over the last 6 months. A brooding wine, featuring dark chocolate, blackberry, macerated black plum, vanilla, melted black licorice, kenya AA coffee, fig paste, and steeped flowers. 91 points. (ottawawinejournal.com)

This is a huge wine. Dark garnet in color with a bouquet is dark fruit, plum and dark cherry with a smoky spice. The taste is bold, even chewy ripe with dark fruit, smoky and a slight spice. This is a meaty wine that was fun to drink. I paired it with lamb meatballs, the lamb and wine were a perfect harmony with each other! This wine would also be great with bbq, Moroccan spices and beef. It consists of 85% Petite Sirah and 15% Petit Verdot. If you like big, bold red, this one is for you!
A glass-staining deep purple. The nose offers notes of rich black fruits, hickory and a touch of smoky spice. Ripe tannins are nicely interwoven with excellent acidity and intense, juicy and mouth-filling fruit. Powerful, complex and delicious, just like the elephants on the label. The long flavourful finish ends with a splash of fresh black cherry. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, July 2013
