Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Equally split between Syrah and Grenache, and the former lends a lovely deep and rich colour to the blend. Expect blackberry, cassis, plum, and prune with a hint of black pepper and garrigue. Accessible and value-driven with good acidity and tannins, and a full body. Aged in concrete, but you hardly even notice the lack of barrel character. Enjoy with lamb and veggie kebabs or burgers.
Mathilde Chapoutier 2017 is a dry, full-bodied, flavoursome Syrah and Grenache red blend from the Languedoc wine region and excellent value under $15. Makes you wonder how they can achieve such tasty wines at that price point. Ripe blackberry, spice and vanilla aromas on the nose, look for rich dark cherry, savoury herbs, dark olives and pepper spice flavours on the palate. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
