Masi Toar 2018 Valpolicella Classico Superiore is a medium-plus-bodied traditional Valpolicella red wine blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Oseleta wine grapes. Oseleta is a native Veronese secondary grape variety known for its great ability to colour and give structure to the wine. Rediscovered by Masi in the 1980s, it was first used in the Veronese blend in 1990, giving birth to Toar which is in reference to the volcanic soils in which the vines are planted. Look for rich flavours of dark cherry, plum, grilled herbs, pepper and anise spice vibrant on the palate.
