A full-bodied, intensely concentrated Italian red wine made using the Appassimento method of drying grapes before fermentation to add intensity of flavour, body and alcohol to the final wine. Look for bright dark cherry, dried red and blackberry, earthy, savoury herbs and cedar spice flavours finishing long and satisfying on the palate.

Amarone della Valpolicella food pairings: pasta with a tomato sauce, roasted venison, beef and veggie stew, leg of lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Masi Serego Alighieri Vaio Armaron 2013 is a richly layered, full-bodied Amarone Della Valpolicella with depth even at 15.5% abv. Intensely concentrated with ripe smoky black plum, dried fruit, tobacco leaf, savoury herbs, anise and bitter chocolate flavours on the palate. Well-balanced, smooth and delicious. Pair with wine-braised beef prime ribs. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
