Lush and modern Amarone, smoky and juicy with ripe dark fruit, liquid black cherry, cedar underbrush, spice cake, espresso coffee flavours, toasty on the palate. Produced by Sandro Boscaini. Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and Oseleta wine grapes spend a long time drying on bamboo racks and the blended wine is matured for three years or more in oak casks. Pair with prime rib. Drink: 2019-2028. Score - 95 (Natalie MacLean, nataliemaclean.com, May 6, 2019).

Masi Riserva Di Costasera 2013 is a rich, opulent Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico from the Veneto wine region. This is the party-size (1500 ml) version of this beautiful, full-bodied red. Generous red berry, sweet cherry, savoury herb, dark chocolate flavours on the palate finishing spicy and long. Tannins are dusty. Good to go now! "Costa" means slopes and a "sera" means westward as the vines are planted in a way that benefit from the reflections of light and mild climate of Lake Garda. They are planted with the indigenous Veronese grape variety, Seleta. Pair with prime rib. - Community Wine Reviews
