Produced by Cyril Marès, vign., Mas des Bressades 2018 is a great value (under $20) medium-plus-bodied Grenache and Syrah red wine blend with smoky, dark cherry and meaty flavours finishing with cracked pepper spice generous and supple on the palate. Drink or hold. Pour with game sausages and sirloin steaks from the grill.

Food pairings: pizza, ham and asparagus quiche, rabbit fricassee.

Reviews and Ratings

Trent Mayers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

An excellent blend from west of the Rhone River made with Grenache and Syrah. A big red with ripe tannins and deep flavours/aromas in the glass embracing strawberry, plum jam, rosemary, vanilla, cigar box, black pepper, and earth. It would be great with foods from the grill, but also good with a humble meatloaf spiced with oregano and thyme.
4 stars out of 5
