Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Crafted from 100% Mencia, the king of grape of the Castilla y Leon region of North of Madrid in Spain, the Marques de Toro 2012 shows aromas of sour cherry, pomegranate, violet, black pepper, backing spice and oak. Medium body with a fresh palate, the finish is supple and balanced. Flavors of blackberry, sour cherry, bay leaf, crush gravel, new leather, cocoa and oak. Enjoy.
Marques de Toro Finca la Moura 2012 is excellent value single-vineyard 100% Mencia under $15 with ripe berry fruit, dark chocolate and vanilla flavours on the palate. Enjoy now and for the next three years. Pair with grilled game sausages. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
