Marqués De Murrieta Finca Ygay Reserva (2014) is a full-bodied red wine blend of Tempranillo, Grenache and Mazuelo wine grapes. This Rioja red is silky and smooth with lots of red berry notes, dried herbs, tobacco leaves and a touch of smoke. Mature with tanned leather and dried herbs and tobacco leaves. Full-bodied and mouth-watering with rich, dark, ripe fruit and a lovely weave of oak. This wine is a blend of tiprenolol, Grenache and manzello grapes. Lovely long finish, like an encore for the senses. Drink now and pair with grilled lamb.

Food pairings: black bean soup, short ribs, sharp cheddar, pork.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Powerful wine from one of the oldest wineries in the Rioja valley, Marques de Murrieta Reserva 2014, made from 84% Tempranillo, 9% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo and 2% Garnacha, exposes everything a great Spaniard wine can provide. Rich aromas of dried fig, raisin, black pepper, mustard seed, parmesan cheese, cigar box and cedar. Full bodied with well knit tannins, the Marques de Murrieta offers a long complex finish. The palate is ample of dried fruit such as raisins and dried fig, as well as dried rose, tobacco, black pepper, wood burner and cedar. Elegant for any occasion, Marques de Murrieta Reserva 2014 hits all the marks of an amazing wine. Enjoy!
Marqués De Murrieta Finca Ygay Reserva 2014 is a full-bodied and dry red wine blend of 84% Tempranillo with 9% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo and 2% Garnacha. This juicy red from the Rioja wine region was aged in American oak barrels for 19 months. Look for ripe red cherries, savoury herbs flavours on the palate. Tannins are rounded and velvety. Drink now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews
