A medium-plus-bodied Spanish red with ripe dark plum, black cherry, anise, savoury herb and toasty oak flavours smooth on the palate. Tannins are soft and rounded. Well-balanced, fresh and so easy to enjoy now.

Food pairings: Greek marinated lamb ribs on the grill, rack of lamb, mushroom risotto.

Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Subtle oak and smoke on the nose here. The palate is still bright with hints of cherry. Fine tannins on the finish. Full bodied and firm. This one leans toward the elegant end of the Rioja scale. All nicely integrated. Enjoy with cured meat or beef stew. Good value. Tasted August 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Nadia rated this wine as 90/100
Marqués de Cáceres 2014 Reserva is a dry, medium-plus-bodied 85% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha, 5% Graciano red wine blend with ripe black cherry, red berry, dried herb, anise and underbrush spice flavours on the palate, finishing long and smooth with a citrus zest finish. Nicely done. Pair with a crown pork roast. - Community Wine Reviews
