Traditional, classic and savoury Spanish red wine, with aromas of leather, dried herbs and red earth dust. Smoky and earthy, not fruit-forward. Full-bodied, smooth and mouth-watering. Great food wine. Decant for 1 hour. This robust Spanish red wine finishes with clove, dark spice and vanilla smoke. Pair with rack of lamb.

Tempranillo food pairings: herbed steaks, portobello mushroom, chili, soup, Papas con chorizo.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A smooth full-bodied world classic made from hand-picked Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano. Pure fruit fragrances and flavours with cherry, baking spices, vanilla, leather and sweet tobacco. From delicious nose to silky finish, this is a memorable wine.
Jessica DiFruscia rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A full bodied typical Rioja with dried red fruit and pronounced vegetal aromas and flavours. A simple, smooth finish.
This Spanish red wine is a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano grapes. The wine was aged for more than 2 years in French oak barrels and then in the bottle before release form the winery. Lots of black pepper, anise and dark spice. - Community Wine Reviews
