A great value Rioja white. Fantastic balanced on this white Viura with soft pear aromas on the nose. Rich with orchard fruit, white currant, lemon zest and blanched almond flavours with a lingering mineral finish balanced with crisp acidity. Enjoy now.

Food pairings: sea scallops pan-fried in butter, fried chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

An interesting wine made from the Macabeo (Viura) grape variety that is quite rich on the palate as a medium to full bodied wine. Notes of apples and pear with slight vanilla notes from its touch with oak, cedar spice, and a fresh finish. Go for this wine if you want to explore something new and different! Budget friendly: Don’t think twice!
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Aromas of white pear, pineapple and hazelnut. Medium bodied, with medium acidity and a creamy hint on the palate from oak aging. and slightly spicy tropical fruit on the finish. Enjoy with rich seafood dishes, such as pan seared scallops or shrimp in butter sauce.
From the Rioja wine region, Marqués de Cáceres Antea 2015 is a rich and zesty white wine blend of Viura and Malvasia aged in French oak barriques. Love the creamy texture, lanolin, blanched almond and mineral flavours on this racy and spicy white. Pair with grilled fish dishes. - Community Wine Reviews
