Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Maquis Gran Reserva 2015, from the Colchagua Valley, please by is diverse fragrances and mouth-feel. Created by Vina Maquis, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon shows aromas of black plum, fig, black pepper, leather, smoke, charcoal and oak. Medium body, agreable balance and well polished tannins, providing a long and sensual finish. Palate: dark skin plum, cherry, dried herbs, black pepper, smoke, dark chocolate and oak. Enjoy!
Maquis Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 is a full-bodied, structured Gran Reserva with ripe black fruit, black currant, dried herbs, dark spices and lots of toasty oak spice on the palate. Great acidity for food. Pair with a Mediterranean spice rubbed grilled flank steak. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
