Nice interplay of dark fruits across the palate on this mouth-filling Shiraz. Layers of flavour that coat the palate with a terrific texture and weight. Polished tannins add a suppleness and slippery smoothness to this wine. A hedonist's delight.

Shiraz food pairings: roast pheasant with sauerkraut, grilled marinated game birds, Hasenpfeffer.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

From Barossa Valley, South Australia, a dark garnet Shiraz with sensuous aromas of blackberry jam, Damson plums, vanilla and baking spice. The delicious palate bursts open with flavours of cassis, blackberry, plum, subtle baking spice, milk chocolate, mocha and oak. Oh yum! Well-balanced and satiny, with delicious plum/mocha finish. A favourite Shiraz; I'll be buying this one again.

This Australian Shiraz is made from grapes that grow in five vineyards in the Barossa Valley. Very robust. - Community Wine Review.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
