Reviews and Ratings

Niagara's reputation for refined, world-class white wines is no secret. This success has also resulted in the development of some of the most exciting white blends found anywhere. This one is made from Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc and dances a charming flavour tango to the tune of tangy citrus, peach, and aromatic herbs. Sip, or enjoy with a light pasta dish. - Community Wine Reviews
Magnotta G. Marquis Silver Line Deux Blancs Pinot Grigio-Sauvignon Blanc from Niagara Peninsula is a lively, light to medium-bodied white offering aromas of ripe nectarine, zesty grapefruit, and hints of fresh basil. It's dry with bright acidity and a crisp texture. Serve it well chilled with linguine primavera as the wine's vibrant citrus and herbal character will enhance the seasonal vegetables and light sauce beautifully, or pair it with steamed mussels where the wine's refreshing finish and aromatic complexity will complement the briny, delicate seafood perfectly. Winemakers Peter Rotar and Marco Zamuner craft this wine for Magnotta Winery, founded in 1989 by Gabe and Rossana Magnotta and now Ontario's third-largest winery. The G. Marquis Silver Line represents the winery's highest caliber VQA wines made from hand-harvested grapes grown on the family's 180 acres of estate vineyards along Stone Road in the heart of Niagara's wine country, and the winery has earned over 5,000 awards for product excellence since its inception. Enjoy now or cellar for 3-6 years. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
