Reviews and Ratings

Fraser Young rated this wine as 100/100
Simon Chen rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Luce is always a blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Sangiovese. I hold several vintages of this wine since 2005 and I have never been disappointed. It is definitely a more new-world style of Super-Tuscan wine.

2014 Luce is a good effort consider an OK vintage. You can taste a lot of greeness and acidity in the wine but there are also good fruits to try to balance it out. It's a wine that should be drank in the next few years instead of aging.
From the Tuscany wine region, Luce (2014) is a deep ruby red with purple fleck in the glass. The wine is a robust, full-bodied red blend of Sangiovese and Merlot wine grapes. The wine was matured in 85% new and 15% one-time used French oak barriques for 24 months. This elegant Italian red wine is produced in partnership with Vittoria Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi, established in 1993. Pair with prime rib. - Community Wine Reviews
