Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

From Argentina's Uco Valley, Mendoza, this full-bodied Chard shows rich tropical guava, ripe pineapple and buttery caramel aromas. Delicious creamy palate gives ripe tropical fruit, lemon and caramel flavours with touch of coconut. Luscious buttery texture and lingering finish with lemon. Serve with grilled scallops or garlic shrimp.

Wineboy rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Starts as if it was from Burgundy and finishes as if it was from California. Measures binned apple fruit with some soft toasty notes but finishes with loads of oaky flavour and those buttery textures which are increasingly hard to find. It's a solid buy.
Produced by Laura Catena, Luca G Lot Chardonnay (2016) is heavily oaked and that is the predominant flavour on this wine; ripe apples, and cake spice are really in the background. Would benefit from holding for about three years to smooth out the edges. Community Wine Reviews
